Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-26
This page is a functional starting draft covering the disclosures required by Google AdSense, GDPR (EEA/UK), and CCPA/CPRA (California). Have it reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on it for a live, publicly-served site.
What data we collect
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). This does not identify you personally.
- Advertising: once approved for Google AdSense, this site serves ads via Google. If you consent, ads may be personalized based on your browsing activity; if you don’t, you’ll still see ads, just not personalized ones.
- Cookies: both of the above may set cookies. You control this through the consent banner shown on your first visit.
Your choices — consent
Every visitor sees a consent banner before any personalized advertising or analytics cookie is set — not just EEA/UK/Switzerland visitors, though that’s the only place it’s legally required. You can change your choice at any time by reopening the consent settings. No personalized ad request is sent until you’ve made a choice.
Your rights — California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you’re a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (which, under CCPA, includes some forms of ad personalization). To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contact page.
Third parties
We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense. Google’s own use of data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. You can review and adjust how Google personalizes ads across the web at Google Ad Settings.
